0005 This lesson targets students, postdocs, and researchers in the ePIC collaboration who already have a
0006 working `eic-shell` and now want to produce their own detector-simulation output. Learners are
0007 assumed to be comfortable with the Unix shell and to have followed the earlier
0008 [environment-setup](https://eic.github.io/tutorial-setting-up-environment/) and
0009 [geometry-development](https://eic.github.io/tutorial-geometry-development-using-dd4hep/) tutorials,
0010 but no prior experience with `ddsim`, `npsim`, Geant4, or the
0011 EDM4hep data model is required.
